This page offers valuable resources to assist you or a loved one in addressing substance abuse and recovery, supporting mental health, connecting with a mental health professional, and additional related topics.

Massachusetts Building Trades Unions came together to form the Recovery Council and highlight full-time staff and rank and file members in recovery who are willing and able to help their building trades brothers and sisters. Using the MBTRC site and contacting your local’s recovery point people, you’ll find how to best use your benefits, get help on your Recovery journey, and the support of your union peers when you return to work.

Greater Boston PCA Contractors and Local 12 work with Modern Assistance. Modern Assistance has provided mental health support, substance abuse treatment, grief counseling and family counseling for more than 34 years. Covered members and their dependents may see one of the Modern Assistance therapists at no cost. They are on-call 24-hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days per year to offer same-day assessment and referral for detox and mental health treatment.
