It was a pleasure to help take Madison Park’s Plumbing shop on a tour of the Commonwealth Pier project and see the impressive plumbing work being done by signatory contractors J.C. Cannistraro, LLC and Citywright!

Students had the opportunity to see ongoing assembly of piping for things like bathrooms and ask questions from Local 12 plumbers on site. The PCA also talked about the benefits of working for a union contractor and opportunities to start their careers through an apprenticeship, like our program with Local 12.

A huge thank you to Turner Construction Company and Janey Construction Management for graciously hosting us. Thanks as well Inspector Scott Padden for joining to share about his job as an inspector in our state. Special thanks to Nhuy Hoang from Massachusetts Port Authority for doing all the work behind the scenes to make this visit possible.

A final thank you to Kenneth Reagan from JC Cannistraro and Joseph Mierzejewski from CityWright for taking the time to share about their roles and the work their companies are doing to get the job done right. It was inspiring to hear their stories and the experience clearly helped ignite a passion for our trade in these future plumbers.
