Industry Appreciation Night 2025 | Honoring the Past, Building the Future
In October, the Greater Boston PCA had the pleasure of hosting our Biennial Industry Appreciation Night. The theme of the night was “Honoring the Past, Building the Future” and celebrated the many achievements of the Plumbing Industry here in Greater Boston. It was a great night to reconnect with friends and colleagues, raise funds for the PCA scholarship fund, and recognize some of the people that make this industry so special.
The PCA had the privilege of honoring Nancy Anne Shine with the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award. Nancy co-founded Shine Mechanical in 1980 and, after her husband’s passing, diligently earned her Master Plumber’s and Construction Supervisor’s Licenses. She became one of only two female master plumbers in Massachusetts at the time. Nancy helped build Shine Mechanical from the ground up, carried it forward despite hardships, and broke barriers for women in the trade.
Special thanks to our inspiring guest speakers: Boston City Councilors Erin Murphy, John FitzGerald, and Ed Flynn, as well as our Keynote Speaker, former NE Patriots Captain Matthew Slater.
It was also great to hear from the PCA’s President Kenneth Reagan from J.C. Cannistraro, LLC.
A huge thank you to our all of our generous sponsors, especially our Contractor sponsors: American Plumbing & Heating, Commonwealth Plumbing Corp., Cox Engineering, EM Duggan, EH Marchant, JC Cannistraro, JC Higgins, PJ Dionne, PJ Kennedy, Patriot Plumbing & Heating, Peak Mechanical, TG Gallagher, Valante Mechanical, William M. Collins, UAMS
A final thank you to everyone who attended. Your support is invaluable to making this night such a success!
