Housing Goes Up

The housing recovery in Boston continues to move forward at a good clip.  Home  prices in the Boston area are up 10% from a year ago.  The number of sales have increased by 6%.  In general, construction in Massachusetts is on a strong rebound.

Other parts of the country have not yet seen the vigorous rebound that is happening here — not yet.  But already there are very positive signs throughout the nation.  In fact, metropolitan areas around the US are showing strong housing growth.

Investment in housing is one of the surest signs of an improving economy.
