Quincy High Tours American Plumbing & Heating
It was a pleasure to join American Plumbing & Heating to host Quincy High School’s Plumbing students Quincy Public Schools. A huge thank you to Daniel Bent and Jim Bent for making time to welcome the group in. Thanks as well to Billy Ferguson for an insightful tour of the prefab shop.
The students had an unique opportunity to see where the magic happens in American’s prefab shop, witnessing firsthand the skill and dedication that goes into plumbing coordination. Hearing real-life stories and experiences from American’s team inspired the students. Seeing the tangible impact on lives and rewarding possibilities of the field will help students study the craft even more intently in class.
Shout out to Quincy’s Plumbing instructor Chuck Hannaford and guidance counselor Brendan Cunningham for bringing the students over. And, of course, thanks to the students for participating and asking great questions.
“Vocational education is said to be one of the best kept secrets in education today” said Jim Bent, Vice President of Plumbing for American. “It has certainly made all the difference for me, as an alumni of QVTS, I had an opportunity to be exposed to so many things in the plumbing industry long before many of my peers. We are committed to the future and are proud to collaborate with these programs that promote the trades”.
It was a fantastic day to see the next generation of our industry in action. The PCA is proud to help support and inspire these future plumbers!
